16 Kalas of Lord Krishna: Purna Avatara of Lord Vishnu

One might ask, why other avatars are considered to be Purna avatars. Others are precise about their functions and do not reveal all the facets of Kalas and tasks that Krishna presents.

Lord Krishna is depicted in sixteen kalas as follows:
Every one of us, of course, is aware that lord Krishna is an ideal and perfect divine lord. It is time to discuss all the 16 attributes that made Him a perfect incarnation of lord Vishnu.
1. Daya (compassion)
Lord Krishna cannot be understood in terms of Lathia’s cultural stock of knowledge but he is compassionate beyond measure. It is narrated in Mahabharat where he forgives evils advice of Arjun with very soft words. To appease his followers, he rescues Pandavas; his actions remain to express care and sustain assistance, proving his benevolence.
2. Dharjya (Patience)
This patience had been felt in the lip of Kauravas during the extermination at Kurukshetra war. Not even Arjun’s protests do he elaborate on the principles of duty and dharma. Krishna’s characteristic of having a lot of patience enables Arjun to minimize his fears, which illustrates how Krishna appreciates human situations.
3. Kshama (Forgiveness)
He teaches the act of forgiveness. He always says that when you forgive someone, you will get peace with yourself and far away from any kind of grudges.
4. Nyaya (Justice)
He said that tolerating injustice is like doing a crime. So, one should learn to fight for justice. He also said that true justice lies in Dharma and responsibilities.

5. Nirapeksha (Unbiased)
He teaches Nirapeksha by doing one’s duty without unbiased for a fair result. He told Arjun to act selflessly, without expectation of return, and to show fairness in his acts and decisions.
6. Niraskata (Detachment)
Niraskata means the ability to be not affected by external elements. During the Kurukshetra War, he showed detachment by guiding Arjun without being emotionally affected by the intensity of the war.
7. Tapasya (Meditation)
According to him, Tapasya strengthens spiritual qualities and improves one’s relationship with God. He does Tapasya to get control of his divine Kalas and fulfill his purpose. This dedication shows the path to spiritual power and enlightenment.
8. Aparchitta (Unshakeable)
His unshakeable attributes show his constant calm and firm personality. It shows his ability to stay focused despite challenges. during Mahabharata, he remained strong while guiding Arjun on the battlefields. He maintained his clarity in a chaotic situation.

9. Danasheel (Giver of wealth)
He says to always be a giver and never flaunt it. He always says that give some part of your wealth to help the needy. He always highlights the importance of charity and being kind without trying to be superior.
10. Saundarjyamaya (Attractive features and beauty)
His attractive features and personality, make him appealing in and out. He said that there is nothing in physical beauty, be attractive from the inside. Many people praise Krishna for his appearance, but he said that beauty comes from one’s nature.
11. Nrityajna (Best of dancers)
His nrityajna kala is all about the art of dance and its spiritual meaning. It focuses on balance and elegance in every phase of life, not just happy moments. This motivates people to dance in difficult times, showing the ability to overcome difficult times calmly.
12. Sangitajna (Best of singer)
He says that music is life which connects you to the outer world. He also said that music is a spiritual way to inner peace that boosts the mind, body, and soul. One can connect with Krishna’s energy through music and chant, which give joy to one’s heart.

13. Neetibadi (Manifestation of honesty)
He explains to Arjun that truthfulness is the highest dharma. He means that you can win in life if you are truthful. There is no bigger goodness than being genuine.
14. Satyabadi (Truth itself)
In Mahabharat, he said that the value of Satya is an important feature in both personal and spiritual practices. He always reminds his believers to live a life that revolves around the principles of truthfulness.
15. Sarvagnata (Master of all arts like poetry, drama, painting, etc.)
Lord Krishna is an all-rounder. He is best at dancing, singing, battles, and arts. He said to his believers that everyone can do everything. He also said that higher knowledge, determination, and perseverance will help achieve all of this.
16. Sarvaniyanta (Controller of all)
He is known as the controller of all and shows great strength and divine power as he controls the universe with goodness. This explains the importance of self-control, emotions, ego, pride, and anger.
