Ramlala's soldiers-4: KK Muhammad, whose Bhagiratha efforts revealed the scientific truth of Ram temple

It was easy to destroy the Babri masjid, but it was very difficult to construct that where Ram Janmabhoomi was, there was also a ram temple. But this great thing is done by KK Muhammad. This was the basis of his legal research, which helped the judiciary to make a difference in the Ayodhya conflict.

There was a period of emergency in the country in 1976-77. Meanwhile, a group of students from the archeology department of Delhi University left for Ayodhya as this was a general educational tour to explore the historical roots of Ayodhya. This group has a 24-year-old Muslim student born in Kozhikode, Kerala, who was inevitable to find evidence of the historical temple lord Ram, a symbol of the Hindu faith.

Karingamannu Kuzhiyil Muhammad (KK Muhammad) might have been of small height but in the 80s and 90s, he created such a mountain of scientific facts and evidence related to Ram Lalla, which no liar could overcome.

Providing the archeological facts of Ram Janmabhoomi temple was no less than a struggle for KK Muhammad. He was doing this work when there was no BJP government in India. He was an employee of the center government, apart from this being a Muslim, he was also facing abuses from fundamentalists of his religion but they were not flicker.

Kk Mohammad was once asked why he was doing all this for the Ram temple. So, he replied whatever he was doing, keeping the interest of the country in mind. His story is the actual story of a nationalist who never surrendered to lies and was ready to face no matter how big a loss was in front of national interest.

    Discovery trip to Ram Janmabhoomi

KK Muhammad gave his life journey in the form of a book in Malayalam. Whose Indian version name is “I am an Indian”. In this book, he has written briefly about the search journey of Ram Janmabhoomi temple. He writes that when the conflict on the ownership rights of Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya was increasing momentum in the entire India for the first time in 1990, he remembered his college days of 1976-77. When he was sent to Ayodhya for studies.

He was one of the 12 students of the Delhi School of Archeology in the archaeologist team that dug in Ayodhya under the leadership of Bibi Lal. During that time, they found a base made of bricks under the pillars of the temple. He was wondering why till now no government has felt the need to dig it up completely.

When he reached there for excavation, the pillar of the temple was visible in the walls of Babri masjid. The pillars of the temple were constructed from black basalt stones. At the bottom of the pillar, full kalashas seen in 11th and 12th-century temples were visible. In temple art, Purna Kalash is considered one of the eight symbols of luxury.

In 1979, a professor of the archeological survey department conducted an archaeological investigation connected to Ram Janmabhoomi. During that time, Bibi Lal had created an outrage by making the statement that ram exists in Ayodhya. After this statement, he had to face departmental action but he stood with his statement and said that it was better to die than to lie.

He writes that a total of 137 laborers were employed in excavation in Ayodhya, out of which 52 were Muslims. Surajbhan Mandal, Supriya Verma, Jaya Menon, etc. as representatives of Babri Masjid Action Committee, a magistrate of Allahabad High Court was also monitoring the whole excavation. KK was surprised when historians were not ready to accept Allahabad’s high court’s decision in favor of the temple.

He also gives the reason for this, which is very surprising. The historians who were there during the excavation were acting as representatives of the Babri masjid action committee and not being unbiased. Of these only 3-4 knew about the technical aspect of archaeology and most of them had not even been in Ayodhya. The biggest thing is that these people don’t want the issue of Ayodhya should ever solved. As they want the Hindus and Muslims of India to remain entangled with each other forever.

There is still some work left in the eye of KK Muhammad

Kk Muhammad established the historical truth of the Ram Temple, and later he did many great things. Modernizing the Bateshwar temples present in the ravines of Chambal was also a bold mission of his. To complete this work, he had to establish communication with the dacoits also. He spent his whole life in saving the ancient temples. KK Muhammad was also associated with many other important discoveries including Akbar’s Ibadat Khana in Fatehpur Sikri.

After his retirement, he was honored with Padma Shri in 2012. He is 71 years old now, but his passion for preserving the cultural heritage of the country has not stopped. Apart from many historical temples on their bucket list, there is a miserable need to restore the buildings. In his recent interviews, he has also expressed his pain that he has a lot of expectations from the government.
