Avtar is a concept of Hinduism that means the arrival of God on earth. Hinduism states that lord Brahma is the creator of the universe, lord Shiva is the destroyer and lord Vishnu is the protector as he preserves the universe. His basic role is to restore the balance between good and evil. To preserve all this lord Vishnu takes birth on earth many times. He took many avatars in certain yugas which include Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parshuram, Rama, Krishna and the last and most devastating is Kalki avatar. All avatars seemed to expect Kalki, which will appear at the end of Kali Yuga. To restore cosmic order, he takes birth on earth on Kalki Avtar. Lord Kalki will eliminate evil and revive dharma, marking the end of the Kali-yuga and the beginning of the Satya yuga.

Lord Kalki's birth prediction

Before the kali yuga, sage Markandeya had a communication with God which is written in Mahabharata. According to a phrase written in Mahabharata lord Vishnu spoke of the period during the darkest time of the Iron Age when human values were destroyed completely and friction would victory over truth. He further addresses how he is going to take human birth to step in and set the world on a new course.

In Kalki Purana, the birth prediction of lord Kalki is described. Kalki Purana is the oldest ancient scripture that describes the condition and birthplace of Kalki. It also describes the most important signs of the times which become so terrible and needful. These signs will force the lord Vishnu to take birth in the form of human Avtar.

When and where will Kalki Avtar be born?

The birth of Kalki has been predicted in many religious texts for thousands of years. The time Avtar arrived or the Avtar has already taken place is still the biggest mystery. Nostradamus, a great astrologer, has predicted that the rescuer of the world will be born on Thursday.

Hindu Purana also states that he will be born on the 12th day after the full moon of the Hindu moon Baisakhi, just a few years ago ending a kali yuga.   In the religious text, it states that Kalki Avtar of lord Vishnu will take birth in the home of the most eminent Brahmana of Sambhal village. He will be going to marry Padma of Sinhala.

The arrival of Kalki Avtar

Puranas mention lord Kalki as the Avtar who revived existence. He will end the darkest and most destructive period to remove adharma. He is portrayed riding on a beautiful white horse, Devdutta, with a flaming sword in his hand, removing the burden on Earth. Lord Kalki will remove all the evils to end the age of decline and restore virtue and world order.

What is going to happen when lord Kalki is here?

Srimad Bhagavatam describes that he will appear at the coincidence of 2 yugas at the end of Kali and the beginning of the Satya yuga. The cycle of 4 yuga will rotate like 12 months in our Calander. Starts from Satya yuga, treta yuga, Dvapara yuga and the last kali yuga. By the end of Kali Yuga, the earth’s population will be reduced. There is a time when no more religious principles are left, then there is no alternative to killing them.

At that time Kalki will come with a sword, riding on a beautiful white horse. He is going to look like a king sent from heaven. Lord Kalki will kill all non-religious people and godless creatures. After the end of Kali Yuga, the golden age of truth will commence.

Kali-yuga in its final age

The beginning and end of Kali Yuga is mysteries. Hindu scriptures believe kali yuga is a period consisting of 4,32,000 years. Only a few thousand years have passed since the start of the Dark Age. The starting year was 3102 BCE and a duration of 432,000 years, kali yuga started roughly 5,121 years ago and has 4,26,879 years remaining.

Kali will affect our moral character. The low level of morality is commonly seen today. Nearing the end, the earth becomes a literal hell escape. Murder and robbery will become the norm. the earth will face extreme suffering and pain. We already see how people’s moral character has decreased over centuries.
