Introduction

Nostradamus, a 16th-century French astrologer, is referred to as “the prophet of doom”. He predicted the future in his book “Les Propheties” in 942 quatrains. His writings have been looked at as vague, yet he is considered to be one who foresaw the future, especially concerning the rise of Adolf Hitler, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the 9/11 attacks and COVID-19, etc. For 2024, he has predicted royal turmoil, global strife, humanitarian disaster, and war on the seas, to name a few.

The Royal Turmoil

More than 460 years ago, Nostradamus wrote, “The sudden death of the first character, he will be changed and another will be placed in his kingdom”. Various people have interpreted this quatrain and have concluded that this is about the British crown not able to follow its normal line of succession. Some have said that this is about the Duke of Sussex, Harry, whose brother, Prince William is first in line to the throne.

War on the Seas

Nostradamus said, “Red adversary will become pale with fear, putting the great Ocean in dread”. People have interpreted that red adversary as China’s red flag. Since Beijing, the capital of China, has the largest navy globally, the “naval battle” refers to China’s tensions with the island of Taiwan.

Humanitarian Disaster

Nostradamus predicted that “the dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when it is seen”, quite possibly referring to the ongoing climate crisis, some believe. He predicted extreme weather conditions and world hunger.

Conclusion

Nostradamus also talked about the beginning of a new world war, which will take place 79 years after the second one, according to him. He has also predicted that there will be an intense earthquake that would take thousands of lives, pointing either to a recent earthquake in Morocco or the ongoing natural disasters in Iceland.
